About Wordscramblify

Wordscramblify is a free set of word tools and guides for people who play Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle, crosswords and other word puzzles. You can unscramble letters, find anagrams, search words by pattern and read in-depth guides on strategy and vocabulary.

Our dictionary

All of our tools search a word list of about 275,000 English words that follows the international Collins Scrabble word list. We chose it because it is the most inclusive tournament list: if a word is valid in either major Scrabble dictionary, it is very likely in ours. Because some words are accepted internationally but not in North American tournament play, we point this out in our guides where it matters.

How the tools work

Every search runs entirely in your browser. When you type letters into the unscrambler or anagram solver, they are not sent to our servers. Results are ranked by length and by Scrabble or Words With Friends tile values, using each game's standard scoring.

How we write our guides

Our articles are written for players who want to improve, not just get an answer. Word lists and statistics in our guides, such as how many two-letter words exist or which letters appear most often in five-letter words, are generated from our dictionary and checked before publishing. Facts about game rules are checked against the official rules of each game. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it.

Wordscramblify is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hasbro, Mattel, Zynga, The New York Times or any other game publisher. Scrabble, Words With Friends and Wordle are trademarks of their respective owners.
