How to use the Words With Friends Cheat
- Enter your tiles from your WWF rack into the search box (up to 15 letters).
- Use
?for blank tiles — they match any letter and score 0 points. - Apply board filters: enter a letter on the board into Contains, Starts with, or Ends with to find words you can hook onto.
- Click Cheat. Words appear with their WWF point values — not Scrabble values — and are sorted longest and highest-scoring first.
- Aim for a 7-letter bingo for the +35 WWF bonus, and target Triple Word and Triple Letter squares.
WWF tile values (different from Scrabble!)
Words With Friends rebalances some letters: H is 3 (not 4), B and C are 4 (not 3), X is 8, and J is 10 (not 8). That's why we show WWF-specific scores on this page.
Winning WWF strategy
- Stack high-value letters on Triple Letter squares — a J or Z there can score 30+ on its own.
- Block your opponent by playing into rows that lead to premium squares.
- Hold an S or blank for parallel plays that score in two directions.
- Learn 2- and 3-letter words like ZA, QI, XI, and JO for tight-board moves.
